Happy New Year Everyone! This is a new piece created this year, “After All She Can Do”, 24x36 inch, Paper and Acrylic on Board It may seem like a no brainer to most people but this thought, that my happiness is entirely My choice, really struck me just a short time ago. This painting said to me, You were not meant to go through the trials of this life alone. Shrug off the burden of offense, drop anger and hatred from your load, let go of ancient history, old love, bad habits, betrayal, worldly trends and possessions. Its your choice. Make a fresh start. Don’t go it alone. Reach Out. “Whatever changes in life’s circumstances may come your way, and whatever unexpected path we may have to travel, how we respond is a choice. Turning to the Savior and grasping his outstretched hand is always our best option.” W. Christopher Waddell

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Hansel and Gretel Box

Image
It's almost that time of year again, the Art Auction fundraiser for the Maine Discovery Museum! This year artists were asked to get creative with a hinged wooden box. Mine is approximately 18"×24" and illustrates the Grimm Brothers story of Hansel and Gretel. Woodburning the pine filled the studio with the smell of wood smoke from home. A little bit of Maine in Texas! ♡ If you're interested in bidding or seeing the other offerings, stay tuned for pics on their website,  https://mainediscoverymuseum.org  , it's a great cause!

"Don't Forget to Pray"

New! "Don't Forget to Pray"  I painted this one to remind myself not to forget to pray. It's important to say Thank You when life is good and full,( not just praying when it's rough going)! Notice her prayer rising makes everything lighter? 16"x20" Paper and Acrylic on cradled birch panel
